Frequently asked questions.
Quick answers before you start publishing, and a path to reach us if you need more help.
What is LayarStreaming?
A place for publishers to host, organise, and share videos, with reports for views and eligible earnings.
How do I share a video?
After uploading, open the video in your library to copy its public page, embed code, or download link.
When does a view count for earnings?
The video must be at least 3 minutes long and the viewer must meet the watch-time threshold. Repeated and artificial traffic is limited or excluded. See How video earnings work for the current rules and rates.
Why is my balance lower than today's earnings?
A reporting day is credited to your available balance after it becomes final, about 12 hours after it ends in UTC. Until then, earnings appear as pending.
When can I request a payout?
Once your available balance reaches $20. Requests are reviewed for the Wednesday pay run; the weekly cutoff is Tuesday 00:00 UTC. Payment is currently handled manually.
Is Premium available?
Yes. Premium removes our advertising from the player and download page of videos you publish. You can pay using your available earnings balance or submit a manual payment for review. See Premium for current plans.
Can I use LayarStreaming on my website?
Yes. Each published video has an embeddable player and a shareable public page. You can also use the account API to manage uploads and your video library. See API Documentation.
Can I earn by inviting other publishers?
If the Affiliate program is active, you can share your personal referral link. Eligible referrals are tracked when a new publisher signs up through that link. See Affiliate for the current program terms.
What if a video infringes my rights?
Use the public report form. Our copyright policy explains notices and counter-notices.
