Terms of Service

These terms apply to everyone who uses this service, operated by LayarStreaming.

1. Your account

You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live. Keep your sign-in details and API key secret; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person or organisation may not run several accounts to get around limits or a suspension.

2. Your content

You keep the rights to what you upload. You give us permission to store, encode and deliver it so the service can work. You confirm that you own each video or have permission to publish it, and that it is lawful where it is hosted and where it is watched.

Not allowed: content that infringes someone else's rights, sexual content involving minors, content published without the consent of the people shown where consent is required, malware, and anything else that is illegal. We may block or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

3. Copyright

We act on valid copyright notices. A video that is taken down is blocked immediately and deleted after 14 days unless you file a counter-notice. Accounts with 3 upheld copyright takedowns are suspended. Details are in the copyright policy; anyone can report a video.

4. Earnings

You earn for valid views as described on the public Video earnings page. We decide whether a view is valid. Views from bots, automated traffic, paid-to-click schemes, self-viewing and any other artificial traffic are not paid. Rates and rules can change; changes apply to views after the change.

Earnings of a video that is taken down are removed from your balance. If we find invalid traffic we may withhold or reverse the earnings it produced.

5. Payouts

You can request a payout once your balance reaches $20. Requests are reviewed and paid weekly, on Wednesday, to the payment details in your account. You are responsible for those details being correct and for any taxes on what you earn. We may reject a request while we investigate suspected abuse; the amount then returns to your balance. A suspended account cannot request payouts.

6. Suspension and closing

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. A suspended account cannot sign in and its videos are not served. You can stop using the service at any time; to have your account closed, contact us.

7. No warranty

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available or that stored videos will never be lost; keep your own copies. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before it applies.
